Forum parsing in Telegram unlocks access to the most valuable audience in the messenger. People who write in topic-based discussions show genuine interest in specific subjects. They ask questions, share experiences, and seek solutions to their problems. These users convert into customers 3-5 times better than passive comment readers and classic chat members. Telegram Prime has added a new feature for collecting participants from specific forum group topics. Now marketers and entrepreneurs get a precision tool for working with hot audiences.
Following numerous user requests, we’ve implemented forum parsing across all group collection functions. Simply specify a link like t.me/group/123, and the software will collect usernames or user IDs from that specific discussion topic. The audience segmentation filter works with forums just as effectively as with regular groups.
Telegram introduced topics in groups in November 2022. This feature transforms regular chats into full-fledged forums with separate discussion threads (topics). Groups with 100+ members gained the ability to split conversations into topics. Durov himself called this update a return to the internet’s roots. Topics resemble classic forums where people united by interests and discussed matters that concerned them.
The forum member list contains the most active messenger users. Forum parsing grants access to this audience. Someone who enters a specific topic and writes a message clearly cares about the subject and is engaged with the context. They spent time finding the group, joining, and writing a message. Such users are ready for dialogue and open to offers related to the discussion topic.
Large communities actively use forum formats. Moscow’s forum features dozens of topics ranging from housing searches to restaurant recommendations. Professional communities divide discussions by work areas (construction forums, for example). Interest-based groups create threads for each subtopic. This structure simplifies navigation and improves discussion quality and relevance.
Telegram Prime now collects usernames from specific forum group topics. Previously, you had to parse the entire group, getting a mixed database with participants from all discussions. The new functionality solves the problem of obtaining a topic-specific member list. The software extracts only those users who wrote in the selected topic.
The collection process is straightforward and takes just seconds of your time:
- Open the target forum group in Telegram and find the discussion topic you need
- Copy the topic link in the format t.me/group/123 and paste it into Telegram Prime’s source field
- Start parsing and wait for collection to complete
After experimenting with this feature, we discovered its key advantage – segmentation accuracy increased dramatically. Instead of thousands of random contacts, you get hundreds of targeted ones. Each collected user belongs to someone with confirmed interest in the topic. This dramatically changes the effectiveness of subsequent work with the database.
Important: A topic link differs from a group link. It contains an additional identifier after the main address. Check the format before starting: t.me/groupname/123, where 123 is the topic number.
Collected database quality directly impacts mailing and invite results. Let’s compare audiences from different sources by key parameters. Channel subscribers show low activity and moderate topic interest. Many subscribed long ago and forgot about the community. Their dialogue readiness is minimal.
General chat participants demonstrate medium activity. Topic interest ranges from high to zero. Some users joined randomly or through friend recommendations. Dialogue readiness is medium, depending on the specific person and timing.
| Collection Source | Activity Level | Topic Interest | Dialogue Readiness |
|---|---|---|---|
| Channel subscribers | Low | Medium | Low |
| General chat members | Medium | Medium | Medium |
| Forum topic writers | High | High | High |
Those who wrote in a specific forum topic show maximum results across all parameters. Activity is high since the person took time to write a message. Topic interest is confirmed by the very fact of participation in the discussion. Dialogue readiness is maximum – the user is already open to communication on this subject.
Technical Improvements in This Update
Beyond forum parsing, this update contains several important enhancements. They simplify daily work with the software and protect against common errors:
- Account import changes. During account import, files are now duplicated to the program folder. The copy remains in the original directory. This protects against accidental data loss from careless actions. Previously, moving happened without saving the original. One wrong click could cost you dozens of accounts.
- Archive improvements. Archived accounts no longer appear in the working Sessions list. They’re only accessible in the Garbage folder. The interface is cleaner, making it easier to work with active accounts. You won’t be distracted by irrelevant entries.
- JSON handling fixes. JSON file updates now work correctly. All changes reflect immediately after saving. The data synchronization problem has been completely eliminated. Account information is always current.
- New search filters. The accounts panel now includes filtering by phone number and roles. Finding the right account among hundreds of entries is now simpler. Especially useful for teams distributing tasks among operators.
